Education
4th Wall has a relationship with the New Jersey School of Dramatic Arts (NJSDA) which serves as the educational wing of our theatre. Directors Beth Baur and Bob Sapoff saw a remarkable opportunity to bring their 20-plus years as professional actors/directors and theater educators together and create a theatre training organization previously not available in New Jersey. NJSDA is a comprehensive theater arts training program for the beginning actor to the working professional. Classes are available at all levels for Adults, Teens, and Children and are taught by industry professionals from Theater, TV, and Film. NJSDA offers quality theater arts training designed in a step-by-step program that builds on the skills gained in previous levels. NJSDA emphasizes the development of a strong and proven technique.
The NJSDA provides tremendous benefits to its students. Students gain a top-notch education and a deep understanding of what it takes to build a career in the theatre. Students also work in an environment offering affordable, quality training, without having to cross the river into New York City. As a partner organization, NJSDA students have the opportunity to intern with 4th Wall and receive specially priced rush tickets to 4th Wall performances. In addition, students are encouraged to audition for 4th Wall.
